Artist Bio
Rachelle Warkentin's professional interest in art and design began during her time at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France. She then went on to complete a Diploma in Fashion Design at the Blanche MacDonald Centre as well as a BA in International Relations, in her hometown of Vancouver, BC. After working in the backside of production in the apparel industry, she decided to shift her focus towards illustration. As a freelance artist, she quickly built a client base drawn to her signature style of custom portraiture. Rachelle is recognized for her line work and ability to reduce subjects to the simplest of shapes. Rachelle is currently expanding her mixed media practice from her studio in North Vancouver, BC.
